Hesselholdt & Mejlvang´s works range over a various selection of medias primarily ceramics, photographic collages, and installation; fragments and objects from everyday life are put in new contexts to examine and comment values of our western world.
Hesselholdt & Mejlvang´s edition is a great introduction to their assembled work; a camouflaged painted substance whelming out of a common Le Creuset ramekin threatening the cosy life of common home cooking combined with the “Razzle-Dazzle term”, used during the First World War as a description of the first experiments of camouflage designs, often in wild colours to confuse the enemy. Camouflaging is, in the military – as well as in nature, a strategy of survival.
The edition comes camouflaged in a red velvet pouch with striped lining.
