About:
Jesper Dalgaard’s sculptural production has been referred to as landscapes in which individual elements and motifs are used as metaphors and become starting points for a storytelling that is essential to the work’s understanding. The titles of his works are akin to small stories – often light-hearted, these tend to provide loose associations for viewing or contextualizing his work. His sculptures relate tales of humanity’s relationship to nature and attempts at taming it. For DUNK! 3d-editions Dalgaard presents his first “untitled” work ever. The story behind the work, as well as the hidden references, are not to avoid; the work point, in it´s form to both nature, modern 1900 century sculpturing and home-design. Dalgaard´s object points to his animated films and room models where objects simular to the 3d-edition appears. The object has now crawled out of a model or a drawing, released itself from the story, and have becomed an individual autonomic work called “untitled”. - And as always with a Dalgaard object or sculpture, purely handmade.
